Angela, along with her husband Sopheaktra (Michael), live and serve in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
In the aftermath of the Khmer Rouge regime, Cambodia is a broken nation with a young and uneducated population. Half of the population is under the age of 22. Little government funds are spent on education resulting in an education system that lacks resources and skilled teachers.
Angela serves with the organization Flame Cambodia, as Education Advisor. Flame ministers to children in the slum and very low-income areas of Phnom Penh. Flame currently have three activity centers in slum areas around the city. These centers serve as a safe place for children to come experience the hope of Christ, get an education in Khmer, math, English and life skills. These students receive sponsorship to assure that they are attending school consistently and not working on the streets. Flame also has a Mobile Library program, where a tuk-tuk takes eduction to the slums where we do not yet have centers. Angela is working to improve the education programs and train the Khmer teaching staff.
Michael is country director for the medical NGO, Save Each One. He also mentors and teaches English to young adults. It is his dream and aspiration to study nursing in the US, so that he can display the love, healing, and care of Jesus to his people in Cambodia.
Thank you for partnering with us, as we partner with God in bring His name to all nations.

Hi, I'm Jacob (and my soon-to-be wife Jennifer). Thank you for your interest in joining God's mission in Thailand. He has graced me to work there with preventing the trafficking of those whom He values and loves eternally.
The organization I'm with is called The CATCH Project. We are a human trafficking prevention initiative. Currently we are working on projects that help communities and kids know the value of their own safety and how to protect our children from predators. We are also working in outreach and discipleship programs to street kids in the city who are vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation.
Thank you eternally for your support and let me know how I can support you as well. Grace and peace to you in our lord Jesus Christ.
Hi. My name is Jonathan. I am honored and humbled you would visit. I want to let you know it is not me you are giving to, it is God. The work we are doing in Thailand is not our ministry, it is God's. Right now, we are the goers, you are the senders. We are partners in this. I cannot do this without you. Your prayers and financial support is appreciated and needed.
After almost 3 years in Thailand, I feel like I am finally doing what God brought me here to do. Human trafficking and sexual abuse is on ongoing problem in our world. None of our communities are without this stain of injustice. To fight against this, I work in the area of prevention under a foundation called Haven. The project I am volunteer for is called CATCH (Community Anti-Trafficking & Crisis Help). We seek to do counseling as prevention, school campaigns for internet safety, internet cafe campaigns to raise awareness of online predators, and more.
Your support is helping me stay on the front line of prevention in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The problem of injustice is huge, but we serve an even bigger God. Nothing is too great for Him. So, let's fight for justice in Jesus' name together!
In a recent update, I will be married on October 27th to my beautiful fiancé Danielle. We will marry in Seoul, Korea, then she will move to Chiang Mai. We are looking forward to our lives together in Chiang Mai. Danielle is expectant God will use her gifts, her passions, and heart for furthering His kingdom in Thailand, specifically in Chiang Mai.
Currently, I am serving with the Mango House, a children's home, as an Education Research and English tutor. This organization takes in and cares for at-risk children from the hill tribes, border villages, and refugee camps. Education for these children is severely lacking as they are usually living in poverty and with limited opportunities, enforced by the caste system here.
Also, in order for me to travel to different schools and for other research needs, I am in need of financial support. If you do feel compelled to give, I will be very grateful and open about my expenses; however, your prayer support is much more valuable. I look forward to seeing God move and work in the hearts and lives of everyone involved. Thank you for your time and any help you feel led by God to supply. Please let me know if you would like a prayer card or bookmark and I would love to send you a pdf copy.
We are excited to announce a better system of processing all giving to the church through OEM. This system will cover tithes, offering, donations, and payments for events and other things.
It is a simple two-part process
1. Pledge (Here, to a project)
2. Bank Transfer (To the account shown upon checkout)
That's it! You will have detailed directions at every step to guide you, as well as emails detailing your pledge, the account details to transfer to, and confirmation email upon receipt of payment. To receive emails you must input your email address.
Frequently Asked Questions:
So will I be sending money to, or through a website?
No, you will be pledging or promising on this website, then transferring the amount by bank transfer, by your bank's phone, internet, mobile banking, or the ATM.
What forms of payments do you accept?
For the time being, we only accept Korean bank transfers. We are looking into the possibility of accepting credit card payments in the future.
Must I make an account on the giving site?
No, you do not have to. You can even receive all the confirmation emails without an account as long as you leave your email address.
Are there any advantages to making an account on the giving site?
Yes! Especially if you are an Onnuri/OEM member and tithe regularly and require a giving statement for tax purposes every year. You will be able to see your own records in your profile at any time.
What about security?
The system runs on the GrassRoot platform developed by FiveTwo Foundation right here in Seoul (www.fivetwo.org) whose "data center is guarded by industry standard remote security protocols, firewalled, and tightly monitored" with 256-bit SSL data encryption.
What about privacy?
Whether you make an account or not, you will always have the option to donate anonymously during the process.
Onnuri English Ministry is the English-speaking ministry of Onnuri Community Church in Seoul, Korea.
